To reach a goal, there is a process that you must implement. This process is to rationalise and analyse your goals. Start at the beginning of the smaller part, specs. These are the most important steps to take to meet the guidelines.
A goal is a way of knowing what action or plan is to be taken and identifying expected results. This plan provides a number of indications that the decision will not be as complicated as when the target is just being considered.
Peter Ducker documented in a book published in 1954 entitled when practiced management MBO for management by objectives, was introduced. This is a program that consists of simple but very useful process in order to meet commitments in an organization. Never worry that this is also applicable to personal plans.
MBO consists of 5 steps:
1. should be specific. It is best to accomplish a goal at a time, rather than thinking of several different levels at once. A single objective cannot be derived if there are two or more results. What is important is that there is a need to clarify what must be achieved and should have your attention. This must be taken as seriously as possible.
2. should be measurable. A lot of things that are not tangible is difficult to measure and there are things that are really measurable for the simple fact that it includes numbers or evaluations. Take service crews, for example, it is difficult to measure what has been delivered to the service, but if the number of complaints is counted then there is a specific number that can be used to evaluate the effectiveness of the service.
Offices, the number of tasks or assignments that were carried out is used as a basis for the measurement. Cooperation, although a very vague Word can also be measured by a subordinate and scrutinize the survey. Assistance has been provided as fast or delayed by a certain individual is sufficient to provide information about how situations can be measured. Try not to use general terms when making an objective statement. Should be something clear and specific as: writing, acting, to perform, to correct, to process, to designate, for the purchase, choose, reprogram, etc.
3. should be reached. Available resources provide information on how a goal can be achieved. This must be something that is derived from the fact and very realistic. Could it be that a certain goal is realistic, but in fact the time to reap the result may not be. It is better to say what can be done for this promotes motivation, rather than an objective taken from conviction as this can cause unexpected failure and feeling of discouragement.
4. should be result-oriented.An objective must be clearly indicated that the expectation is clear. Focus on the final result because it will help or not the goal of reaching the goal is effective and meaningful. This goal is to help an individual to grow or succeed? It will be beneficial to all concerned? Once that has been achieved success and all plans have been completed then it is a success.
5. it should be time BOUND.There should be a limit to everything you need to be made. This is important because the root of any plan can be traceable. This will tell you even if the objective is quite effective to not cause delays. There will be even more of a sense of accomplishment an objective is achieved with the objectives laid down prior to a deadline.
To sum it all up, develop a goal that is easily measured, can be reached, with a limited period of time, this will help determine whether the goal is realistic enough, significant and proven to be useful to all involved. A chart or a newspaper can be maintained to keep track of every opportunity and strong points that were encountered along the way. This also indicates the time that has been consumed and developed length of the lens. A successful goal helps motivate the individual or group involved toward greater accomplishments.
