CAREER EDUCATION As a follow-up on all contacts

If you're still in the process of job search, it is extremely important for the follow-up on all contacts. Is not good to sit back and wait for the results to come pouring in when you think you've already done your part because contact information were distributed.
Consider two men applying for a leading position at a company. After the interview, the first applicant just sits around waiting to hear from her employer.
On the other hand, the second applicant distributes its contact information for some people whom he met in the company. In addition, the applicant number two is a follow-up on the results of the job interview a few days later. The first applicant has not been heard from, because it depends only on the basis of routine "we'll call you". Who do you think will have a greater chance of getting the job?
Although the first applicant is more qualified, because he did not follow up or even send a thank you note to the interviewer, at the end, he gets the job.
If you are still waiting for that job offer and do not follow your contacts, your chances of getting hired become leaner. In the business, later on all of your contacts is a sure-fire way to spread the word about yourself, business sense and broaden their horizons.
If you are still looking for a job, here are some tips on how to follow-up on your contacts:
* Send a thank you note right after the interview, ideally after a couple of days. This is a way of getting the prospective employer to hear from you again. Should you not get hired for the current location that they offer, someone from that company probably will keep the information on file for future consideration.
* Make sure you leave your landline number and mobile, e-mail and home address so that potential employers will have no excuse not to get in touch with you.
* Be careful to get the contact information of the employers of prospect. In return, when their info on square any letter you send out (i.e., resumes, thank you notes) to avoid typographical errors and make sure you have their correct names, to make sure that everything is in order.
* Some companies take a look at your character references alarm so the people on your list that could receive a call from your potential employers.
* Always be on the positive side. Should not get hired for a particular location, you can ask the people from that company for references to other companies or at least keep it in mind for future recruitment.
If you are currently on the market, if you are just starting out or in the midst of expansion, you must also ensure follow-up on all important contacts. For example, you go to a corporate event and you have distributed a lot of business cards. Do not stop there. These people eventually could bring big business to your company so it is important to build a strong business relationship with them.
Here are some tips on following your contacts if you are already on the market:
* Send notes thanks to current and future customers. This rule does not apply only to persons applying for a job. This is much more useful for those who are already on the market, as a simple thank you note I would like to remind customers that companies that they are dealing with and your logo will be imprinted on their minds. This practice should send more business your way.
* Send follow up messages. If you're in sales, it is good to follow on existing buyers who are more likely to buy your products again.
You can also customize any correspondence that you send out as this leaves the customer feeling as if you know personally. This should lead to earn their trust, which in turn lets the customer feel safe that efficiently manages all activity is that they throw your way.
* Make sure you follow up quickly and promptly. The rule is fast response, fast, fast. Whether it's a solution to a problem or send an order or reply to a letter, respond quickly to a customer is the easiest way for them to think about you and your company in a positive way.
