Making agencies work for you

* Through agencies are an incredibly effective method of locating your ideal work or find a temporary job to help pay the Bills while you are looking for your ideal job.

> "But I do not like agencies ...."
Many people refuse to use agencies because of the experience of friends with one of these companies. Well, so don't use that agency. But equally don't do all the same. Does not affect the chances of finding work because of an experience.

Have you ever owned a car that cost money all the time?

Did stop owning cars because they are all bad?

Probably not, so why not think of agencies as a means to an end?

* As employment agencies
Personally, I think most large agencies. Yes I'm in it to make money, Hey I am a business. But please don't think make money from you because they do not do.

The way it usually works is that an employer has a vacancy with an agency and the Agency is responsible for finding suitable candidates.

The Agency is paid a one off fee from the employer to find someone who the company employs actually.

OR.

The Agency is paid a fixed amount that a person or group of persons for temporary positions. The Agency shall pay the applicant a fixed hourly rate for the work they do on this short-term contract. They are paid a "finders fee" If you like to find people suitable for the job.

* Making agencies work for you
You should always remember that if an agency is looking for a job for you, then you are the customer, are working for you!

Now, don't go in there asking things:-), but you should be able to pursue their a bit to the desired results.

The best approach is to identify 5-10 agencies that you can work with ease. Ideally should be located where you can actually visit them in person on a regular basis.

This is important because they see so many people all the time and should build a relationship with your customer that you are in their mind when a suitable position becomes available.

Lets say that you registered with five agencies.

Week 1 – Talk to the Agency lst every day Monday-Friday, call in to see them in person at least once. Wednesday, talking to all the other agencies by phone, check-in and see if they find something suitable.

Week 2 – Talk to the Agency 2° every day Monday-Friday, call in to see them in person at least once. Wednesday, talking to all the other agencies by phone, check-in and see if they find something suitable.

Week 3 – Talk to Agency 3° every day Monday-Friday, call in to see them in person at least once. Wednesday, talking to all the other agencies by phone, check-in and see if they find something suitable.

Week 4 – Talk to the 4a Agency every day Monday-Friday, call in to see them in person at least once. Wednesday, talking to all the other agencies by phone, check-in and see if they find something suitable.

Week 5 – Talk to 5 every day Monday-Friday, call in to see them in person at least once. Wednesday, talking to all the other agencies by phone, check-in and see if they find something suitable.

Then come back a week a new one.

If you have multiple agencies (say 10) you will have to contact two of them every day to increase your chances of getting an interview.

Why Chase agencies? Many agencies use computers to store information about customers, some still use a rolodex, however, talking to a person at the agency you are making them bring your details, this means that you will be fresh in their minds, it also means that you can see how keen you are to find work.

Now when a suitable holiday pops out you are going to call before you think, you or the guy who joined the Agency in the same time as you, but that they do not remember?

You can almost guarantee that it will be called first.

* Part-time Agency Work
You may have heard people telling you that "it is easier to get a job while you're at work"-well, it is true.

Employers, tend to think that there are more reliable and more difficult if they were employed on short-term contracts through employment agencies.

This is usually because they see that you do not do anything (as they see it). Of course we know that you were engaged in search of work and that this is a full-time job in itself. Often they don't realize, but it is so.

Working part-time as this allows you to earn some money and also allows you to meet other people. I know many people who have found their chosen line of work doing the work of the Agency. The fact is, it has gathered a lot of people, making more contacts and this means that you can have more people helps you find job leads.

I used agencies myself and if I was ever unemployed again, so I would like to sign up with 5-10 day one. In addition, I would take any temporary jobs that came my way if them to help you understand what kind of worker. This will help in the long term, believe me, I know. I was there.

Good luck.
