CAREER EDUCATION. What skills would I leave out my Resume?

I am currently working as an employee of courtesy to a big chain grocery store. Duties are quite humble, and I have been there since May 2001.
Bag of groceries for customers, I take them to their cars as needed, clean up spills when necessary, put the item back on the shelves and bring back the central collection point. My wife says I should leave this position out my resume, but if I do then it seems that I have not worked since the year 2000. What is your recommendation on this?
My advice: don't leave good jobs as this outside the application. The advantage of him, however, will depend on how you frame. Describing it as seen above, probably wouldn't mean much for a company you are applying to? unless there was another store, maybe.
But let's say in language that will understand every employer:
You mean you were the public face of your company?
The first contact and initial perception of the company for all customers?
You mean that you understand how important it is the first experience of a client with a business can be?
After all? If customers are to be turned off, then you have no business!
You mean you're an expert in giving customers what they want? Namely ... helping people with their food?

I could go on and on ... but I hope that you get the point. Absolutely no work experience or work can be transformed into excellent reasons to hire me. You just have to be able to speak in the language of the employer. And you will get the job!
Now? lets talk about why they were working in an unrelated field, as the shop in the first place. It was to get some experience of life right? (If you wassn 't now!)
You wanted to see how other industries worked and find out if [Insert industry you want to move] was the right thing for you ... here is the key ... If the rule of law for your employer, too!. You don't want to be some "wet behind the ears" University or college graduate begging for a job in [Insert industry] that you want to move] ...
