When it became available phones seemed to fill the need of instant communication-anytime, anywhere-which could help people be more efficient and thus save time.
Email later became a traditional method of business communication. Wonderful-now phones would ring off the hook, messages should not be stored and retrieved as verbal communication, which took time. Instead, information would be clear and concise and could be retrieved and replied any time, any where-once again the promise of more freedom.
With email, internet and mobile phones, it was really necessary for workers to be held at the Office? Perhaps you could ensue work days shorter. Maybe parents could collect their children from school and being contacted at home via one of these methods.
Was changing the world of work.
This truth was born as more workers were able to take the place of work with them. The trip from home to work and back again was no longer a barrier to actually doing the work.
Telecommunications itself was an integral part of conducting business. With cell phones and email, distance, time and travel were no longer barriers to conduct business effectively.
For some, this meant that coming to the Office every day was an option-not a requirement.
Mothers and fathers are new freedom to take care of their children while still collecting salary that they needed to support them. Work could be done at home, at the Park, at the store at night ...
Unfortunately, this ability to work anywhere has become a nuisance rather than a luxury for some individuals. The fact that they are able to do business anytime, anywhere, means that are in fact doing business all the time.
Rather than free them, they found that they cannot get far enough away from the job really put away for the day. Disease and emergencies don't stop ringing the phone or email from piling up-and why it can be accessed, there are no excuses for not dealing with it.
So for some, convenience has become a ball and chain-creating more work hours and constant stress. For these individuals must commit themselves and their workmates guidelines how to turn off the phone. No access to email regularly. Stick to these rules and other workmates tell the new practices should help.
Remember that they should be helped by these devices. Is in the best interest of your health and well-being of your family if these tools maintain their proper place.
