Overview:
The position is part of a team which has a broad outlook over the department's operations, and in general, assists business areas of the department in the creation, development and maintenance of their Business Continuity(BC) Plans, in addition to contingency planning regarding Pandemics.
The work of the Section is closely linked to the department's Risk Profile. The Section also responds in a whole-of-government sense to Critical Incidents on and offshore, in a logistical and co-ordination sense through the operations of the Incident Response Unit.
An APS Level 6 Officer in the BC Section contributes to the overall management of BC within the department. The successful applicant will possess the following:
- An ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, both verbally and in writing;
- Be highly organised and have a high level of attention to detail;
- Be a team player; and
- Be flexible in their ability to work in different environments.
