Classification: APS Level 4 - Several

Salary: $55,210 - $60,100

Overview:

Technology Services Division provides the department with IT systems and security capabilities. As a critical business enabler, the department’s IT systems are involved in all aspects of the department’s activities including migration, border protection, settlement and humanitarian services, and compliance services through to the day to day administration of the department and community involvement as a prominent Commonwealth Government organisation.

The positions are located in the User Centred Design Competency Centre (UCDCC) of the Service Design Branch. The branch provides the process for converting standardised business strategies into enterprise-wide IT solutions, supported by a set of governance principles.

Reporting to the Accessibility Manager, your primary responsibilities will be to undertake accessibility testing, assistive technology reviews and provide the associated reporting requirements.

You will contribute to the team by providing support for the continuous improvement of accessibility processes and templates with respect to an ever changing business environment.

To be successful in this role you will have demonstrated your initiative and ability to research and investigate best practices and document and maintain guidelines.
